The brand activation took place on the 30th and 31st of July at the famed Allianz Arena Business Club, during the 2019 Audi Cup Invitational Soccer Tournament, featuring the likes of FC Bayern Munich, Tottenham Hotspurs, Fenerbahce Istanbul and Real Madrid.
Audi E-Tron Challenge
After inserting their names via an IPAD, players and guests from all over the world were invited to take part in the “Audi E-Tron Challenge” and try to score as many points as possible by hitting- and charging the E-Tron cars with soccer balls on the MultiBall system. Following the 1 minute gameplay, a high score is displayed, as well as an animation of the Allianz Arena being “charged”.
Top scores won courtside seats for the next game and many small prizes were awarded as well.
Not only was awareness created for Audi’s new product, but a different (younger) demographic was reached as well. Emotional attachment was the key to success and generating traffic on social media as well.
Over the course of 2 days, more than 400 different sessions were recorded and 50 of these went home with prizes, all 400 with an emotionally rewarding experience.
